The old Greek tragedian was right when he said it and he's still right.  New Orleans cop, Land Parrish, learns that lesson anew as he and his partner, (and mistress) April Flowers, chase a murderer through The Big Easy, Chicago, Ann Arbor, Istanbul and Izmer, Turkey.
Parrish also gets a history lesson when one 'person of interest' innocently gives the cop a motive for murder right out of the Arabian nights.
His subsequent quest for the killer is noticed by the Turkish government--which is still accused of responsibility in the massacre of thousands of Armenians near the fall of the Ottoman Empire.
The Turks volunteer to help Parrish trail the suspect into Turkey if he is willing to do a little sleuthing for them at the same time.
Teamed with a woman agent of the MiT, he also learns to appreciate the slogan:  The most beautiful women in the world come from Izmir.  Soon he meets two women from Izmer.
Find out why he has to shave his moustache before he returns to the Big Easy--and Flowers.
